June 20, 2013

Today we woke up bright and early to another beautiful Spanish day. We had our typical breakfast of bread with assorted meats and cheeses and orange juice. We then went to Astilleros Nereo and began work on our project again by gluing the posts to the keel. We also began cutting the notches in the molds so that we can start applying the planking the next day if possible. That took up most all of our time at the yard. Brian has been doing a great job helping Kevin and Dino understand Alfonso and people all over the city. He and Jake have been a great resource for two non Spanish speaking people. We then went back to the hostel and had a small lunch mostly consisting of just snacks. We then sat around and talked about what we could do over the weekend and made some progress by narrowing our choices down to a select few places. We had sort of a early dinner because the Spanish nation soccer team was playing Tahiti in a qualifier for the World Cup. So we walked down to our favorite seafood place Penne Basrcelonista and watched Spain walk over them 10-0. We came back to the hostel afterwards and went to sleep to get ready for another long day in paradise.
