June 26, 2013

Today we did our regular morning routine, rising early, enjoying breakfast and the scenic walk to work. At the boatyard we continued working on the Phoenician boat, curving the wood and putting two planks on it. Also today, the Spanish Andalucian news came and interviewed us about what we’re doing and all the new experiences we’re enjoying. It was so cool and they said it will be aired in a few days! Later, we smoothed the wood to make some planks for the kayak. And the band saw blade came off its track. It was really scary but luckily nothing happened other than a loud bang. After work, we came back to the hostel and had our usual sandwich lunch. Then we went to the beach. The water was quite cold but you get used to it. For dinner we went to Malfada where we ate camperos which are like big sandwiches sometimes similar to hamburgers but not necessarily.
